Description:
LINXX Security provides Non-Compliant Visit Board Search and Seizure (NCB-VBSS) Instructor support to the Navy Center for Security Forces (CSF). Instructional services are provided to Navy and other Government personnel in Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Mayport, FL; and Yokosuka, Japan (if required). Primary areas of VBSS instruction include: Climbing Techniques, Defensive Tactics, Firearms proficiency, Close Quarter Combat (CQC) and Vessel Inspection. Upon hiring, instructor candidates will undergo a series of screenings, i.e., drug, medical and psychological as well as physical fitness evaluations, qualifications and certifications.
Required Qualifications:
Position requires mature, experienced and qualified instructors with a team-minded approach who possess the following attributes:
- Weapons instructor certification or equivalent
- Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor (SAMI) (A-041-0148) (USN)
- Air Force Combat Arms Apprentice Course (USAF)
- Marine Corps Primary Marksmanship Instructor (MOS 8531) (USMC)
- Small Arms Weapons Instructor (MOS 8532) (USMC)
- Marine Cadre Instructor (MOS 8153) (USMC)
- Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Small Arms Instructor Course
- National Rifle Association 5 Day Law Enforcement Handgun and Shotgun Instructor Development School
- Any firearms instructor course taught by or used by any other federal or state law enforcement agency
- Any other small arms instructor course approved by CNO N3AT after review of the course of instruction.
- Instructor Training (IT) certification Navy NEC 9502 or equivalent.
- NEC 9518 Naval Leadership Development Program (NAVLEAD) Instructor, or
- Graduate of one of the following courses of instruction:
- Instructional Delivery Continuum (IDC) Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT) (A-012-0077)
- Instructional Delivery Continuum (IDC) Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT) Mobile Training Team (A-012-1011)
- Naval Leadership Facilitator (P-012-0045)
- Facilitator Training Course (P-012-0075)
- Nuclear Instructor Qualifications (NFAS) (A-661-0108)
- Nuclear Instructor Qualifications (NNPS) (A-661-0109)
- Other service equivalent upon approval of CSF COR
- Min. 2 years tactical operational experience in non-compliant and opposed boarding and security force techniques.
- Maintain physical fitness standards (Good/medium on Navy PRT), position shooting, ascending/descending ladders, no fear of heights, drug free.
- Min. 2 years documented experience in tactical movement procedures (CQC) consistent with NSW or equivalent within last 5 years.
- Capable of demonstrating small arms weapons proficiency and tactical shooting techniques consistent with current CQC NSW techniques.
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor offenses of domestic violence.
- Ability to be certified as a Water Safety Observer.
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor offenses of domestic violence.
Preferred Qualifications / Skill sets for select candidates:
(Not mandatory for consideration))
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Min of 1 year experience in Combat First Aid.
- Navy lifeguard or equivalent certification.
- Combatives/Defensive Tactics. Minimum of 2 years practical experience in techniques consistent with FM 3-25.150 (U. S. Army Combatives Field Manual) or proficient in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or in Muay Thai boxing.
